The cravings are not going away...

Well here I am Day 3 of no smoking, and I am getting more and used the the routine of not smoking but am still finding it hard after meals, as well as situations where i would usually smoke!
I have kept my ashtray and as soon as I get one of those cravings, the first thing I do is go and smell the ashtray, it is disguisting!!
One thing I have noticed and also my partner has (he is a non smoker) is that I dont need to clear my voice to speak and that the tone is changing and is clearer.
I am determined that this time is going to be it, I am not letting the little nicotine demon get the best of me... I am hoping that every day is going to get easier, but I do know that the first 2 weeks are going to be the hardest...
Wish me luck.. and good luck to all those who are now non smokers like me!

Hi, i am into my 16th day though i have had a slip up on the weekend, I found and am still finding that after a week or so my voice has become very husky, like i have a cold and that I am coughing constantly trying to clear it. I am not sure if anybody else is going through this, it is not like the smokers cough that I had, that cleared up very quickly it's just like an annoying frog in my throat. Good for you for taking the challenge and good luck.

Thanks everyone, I know why people join a forum and its great to see you are not alone and people are going through the same things.
All I am doing is 'one day at a time', we can do it!
