38 Days!
Well I've knocked over 38 days as a non-smoker- yaay! It has been easy compared to previous times. Still get the cravings but only when there's a trigger. Coping with it okay though. Stopped taking Champix - won't be finishing the course - couldn't sleep but it was very helpful as was Easyway book. I don't torture myself. I'm not noticing any health improvements yet but I have had a cold for the past 2 weeks. Anyway, I'm happy to be a non-smoker!

It's all about thinking of yourself as a non-smoker. Good on you Linda. You ARE a non-smoker. And excellent that you don't need the crutch of medication - it can't be good for your body either, just like cigarettes. In my opinion the quicker you drop all the chemicals, the better. You have a brain, you have will-power and determination. That's all you need. Well done!
Thanks MickeyJ - my sentiments exactly. Dr Feelgood - what's going on with you? I've noticed several negative comments from you. You're not making people feel good at all. Could it be that you have you fallen off the wagon? For your information, the second you stop smoking you're a non-smoker - maybe it would do you good, Dr Feelgood, to get your own head around that.

Good on you Linda you are a non-smoker I did a little dance last night telling myself the same thing....and I'm with Roseyk it doesn't matter how you do it, it's just unreal that we're all doing it....good luck and welcome to your life as a non-smoker

Don't get me wrong guys - if the replacement products work for you that's great. I just found it a bit off that Linda was being criticised for HER DECISION to drop the medication. It's great she feels that she has this thing nailed and doesn't need champix anymore. We all have a different experience - whatever it takes - but the commonality we have is that we all need support, positive thoughts, affirmation that we can succeed. That's what this site is all about.

Congratulations Linda :-) 38 days is absolutely AMAZING! I hope you are proud of yourself as I am reading about your story :-)
Nothing like a barney with a complete stranger in an open forum! Dr Feelgood -I apologize for my harsh comment re falling off the wagon. 84 days is a great achievement. Praise and encouragement are greatly appreciated by all, so lets keep criticism and judgement of others to ourselves. Also best not to advise anyone unless specifically asked for - ha - says me advising! Onwards and upwards! Roll on day 40!
