It's been a week... woohooo

Well today marks 7 days of being quit, I know it's not much compared to the rest of you but I'm amazed and incredibly proud of myself.... this time last week I wouldn't have thought I could go 7 minutes, let alone a week. Can't say it's been the shortest week of my life.
I survived and I can name a few people who have been lucky to survive this week, if only they knew how detrimental my quit attempt has been to their lives!
So far this week I've single handedly eaten the entire crop of celery in the universe, rewritten the book on psychological wellbeing, sworn at the TV more times than any old person I've ever known and possibly been the most productive I've ever been at work.
Not really having much luck in the sleep department though!

Love to hear about another win, well done and keep going, nothing wrong with celery!!!
Meanie/Melanie (ha ha) that is FANTASTIC a week you should be bloody proud. And I so understand how it was not a short week. And thank you for the laugh in describing your mood and eating celery (was green apples for me - still is). Go you! And before you know it, you will be at a month and your sleep will return.
I had people telling me on here it does get easier and your mood will improve and truly I was thinking you really do not know what a foul mood I am in or this cannot possible get easier but it does.
I can even enjoy a beer now and not constantly think of having a smoke with it. Hang in there. And never a truer word said this time last week would not think I could have gone 7 minutes let alone 7 days. But you haave gone 7 days and just keep doing what you are doing, one minute, hour, day at a time. High five to Meanie/Melanie :)

You Go Girl!! Well done and be bloody proud!! Sleep will come and when it does youll dream of smoking LOL sorry it may sound mean to say that but its true just remeber its just a dream!! Celery is better that the 50kg of rockyroad I ate. And my first week I was MISS ROAD RAGE but I love to read my old posts and have a chuckle now. One week is how much saved ,how many not smoked etc I love watching the numbers go up! Keep up the good work we are all proud of you and doing the High fives!!!

Well done . I felt the same way 7 minutes compared to 7 days'. be proud it shows how strong you are. It does get better but it's a long road. Keep up the good work.

hey there. i loved to be able to say i had been quit for one week and then i loved it when the numbers got to double figures and thankfully i can say that i have been quit for over a month.
this week do something that challenges you - go out with someone who smokes or somewhere that you associate with smoking - that is the best feeling when you get through it. BUT only do it if you are ready - I am sure that you are. High Five Lady - keep going strong !!!

Dunno what i did to become an honourary chick but thanks anyway, actually I'm an honorary chick at work too. Maybe I should stop wearing women's clothes!
Meanie is not a chick incase you haven't guessed ;o)
