Into my third week off cigarettes, and feeling really good, and positive. I have realised though, that sadly a big part of the reason I smoked was to have some 'time-out' when things get too much with the kids, as I am a stay-at-home Mum. I am finding I don't necessarily miss the cigarette, but really miss the break, and having trouble substituting it. Having a cuppa, or reading a magazine doesn't seem to  have quite the same effect. Or does this just take some getting used to??   I get interrupted when trying to meditate. So, for all you parents out there...what do YOU do, when the kids are stressing you out?????? I am playing sport weekly, as thats all I can manage at the moment. On the up side.... I am getting so many more kisses and cuddles, because I smell so much better. It's lovely.

I can relate to that completely. The biggest problem I am having is that 5min break from the kids. I have tried a this - go outside to the place I usually smoke and focus on something else like the garden, stars in the sky etc etc but stay out there for the same amount of time I usually did go. I found that if I retreated to the same area that I had smoked in, the kids were used to me doing it so didn't interrupt as much. No one says we can't go and have the few minutes break in the same place, we just don't smoke when we are doing it. We are doing it for our kids!
