10 days smoke free!

Well its now been 10 days since my last cigarette and I am feeling the better of it. Day 7 and 8 were hard for some reason and I had quite a few cravings. But I kept myself busy and I have hardly thought about a cigarette in the last couple of days. The cravings are getting less and less. I dont crave one in the morning any more. I dont think about it. What happens now is that I go for a long time and think to myself that I havent had a craving in a while and that I must be doing well. So it is getting easier and easier. I think I am over the worst of it now. The money that I am saving is a big motivator. Plus all my headaches are gone! which is great. I havent had one since I stopped and before I was getting a headache every couple of days. So to everyone out there! Just hold on that bit longer, and the craving will pass. Keep going and dont give in! You can do it!! :)

Sounds like you're doing well - keep it up! Just think about how good you feel when you don't smoke. And how nice it is to not be an addict. You're back in control of your life rather than being a slave to cigarettes.

Well im 20 days smoke free now, done cold turkey.:) I had one slip up one night after having a few drinks with friends.:\ But I never let it get me down and just carried on as normal the next day staying quit. I think if you do have a slip up you shouldnt beat yourself up about it. It didnt make me feel like smoking more the next day either. It confirmed to me how horrible they taste now and that I am a non smoker. Plus my bank balance is looking alot healthier too! :)

Stay away from places where alcohol is and do not drink with friends.Inhibitions go down.
