Good Health & not being breathless

I am 2699 days smoke free. Roughly a little over 7 years. I have saved $52,000 - enough to buy a decent car! I have COPD which is a direct result of smoking. It is a progressive disease. There is no cure and it gets worse over time. However because I stopped smoking 7 years ago the progression has slowed right down. If you have good health and are still smoking now is the time to quit! I am sure you have heard it all before........I know I had and it is really hard to give up! But it is sooooo worth it. You don't realise how much breathing and being breathless affects your everyday life until you run short of breath. I am managing my disease with medication and exercise which is the key to a better quality of life. Please please quit now before it's too late!

WELL Done on your quit!!

Some of us have paid a big price for smoking over time, but it really sounds like you are so successful in stopping smoking and changing your life for the better.

Thank you Cuba. It is not an easy journey but is so rewarding once you stop smoking. I wish you all the best!

Great Job Puffer....and a great post. We can't stress enough the need to quit smoking to avoid ill health. We were ostriches once determined to forget and deny.

Life is so much better once being free from smoking and regaining some health and wealth!

Thank you Happiness. It sure is so much better once you are free from smoking. It is that hurdle to get to that point most find so difficult. My post was about pleading with people to give up before it becomes a health problem. I hope someone will see it and use it as a vice to give up!
