Benefits I never saw coming .

No more nagging from my family , friends or non smokers . No more uncomfortable conversations on that topic . That used to be so stressful because I always felt I needed to protect my addiction and myself . Always so much anxiety just from that scenario . Not anymore .
My drs and dentist no longer ask if I’m a smoker every time I have an appointment .
On medical questionnaires I’m very happy to say today that I’m a “ former smoker” not “ smoker” . It doesn’t haunt me with guilt like when I had to put “ smoker “ followed by more uncomfortable questions to answer like how long , how many , The nature of an addiction is to present itself in half truths . If we smoked 25 years we might put 20 on that paper and if we smoke 30 cigarettes a day we might put 25 . There is no benefit in lying for addiction .We must face denial to heal .
Freedom was even more than what I expected . It was worth all the uncomfortable craves all the self discovery and all the time invested in it .

I love your comments and posts equally, Keep on doing good, Inspiring others and lending support can make a difference, It makes me happy to see more participating,
