Congratulations on your decision to quit nicotine liz,I stopped cold turkey on August 2nd,take one day at a time, think about what triggers you into lighting up and have a plan to have something to take it’s place, like for instance when you’ve eaten,I do the washing up straight away so I don’t think about cigarettes because I always used to smoke after food.Good luck,I’ve been stopped nearly 2 months now and I’m feeling fantastic,my breathings better,my food tastes better, my home doesn’t smell like an ashtray anymore, the benefits are endless when you stop, and the guys and girls on this site will help and inspire you so keep logging in,you’ve got this⚽️

Hi Liz welcome to this wonderful community. You are in the right place for support , advice, suggestions, encouragement and tips on how to remain a nonsmoker. I am on day 59 and have had a few slips and setbacks but am back on track with thanks to this community. I am in the process of whitening my teeth at the moment which i am very excited about as 38 years of smoking left them very discolored. I smell better, have lots more money, my lungs feel better and my self confidence has been given a lift. Stick with us Liz the more the merrier and I think we are all a great support for each other.

I gather you have been following our posts for a month or so now. That's a great start. As you see, we are a supportive group and share great advice. Aim to take control of your mind and it makes it easier. The Mindset.....smoking never did anything for us. Once you agree with that , you can let it go...and the anxiety with it....Choose to be a non-smoker. Its GREAT.
