I’ve recently found out my blood pressure is beyond high, and that smoking is not helping this situation.
I am only 30 years old with 2 little children. Heart attacks and strokes run in my family. So I’m wanting to cut down to quit while using patches and gum to help take the edge off. I suffer severe anxiety and clinical depression, which has been my excuse in the past of why not to quit. But it’s time. My kids need me around and I want to be a Nanna one day.

Thank you so much Robn. I’ve started my “cut down to quit” method this time, as my prior quitting attempts were cold turkey and unsuccessful.

Cutting down is not always good either, as you will come to count the minutes and even seconds until you can have that all important smoke. The desire to have one will consume you. Cut down naturally by putting them where you have to go out of your way to retrieve, ask yourself if you need it, or when you do have it take the time to note how you enjoy the first couple of puffs until you get the fix and then the enjoyment lessens. Do nothing else. Smoking is boring. Smoking is a waste of time.Smoking is costly and devastating. It doesn't even taste good.( Can you taste the poisons?) Enjoy your time with your "friend" and look forward to the day you have a parting of ways.
