Help quit smoking

Hello everyone,
So I’m 33 yrs old and I have decided today that i wanna stop smoking for good. I smoke a pack or 2 a day sometimes less. I’m desperate to know the quickest way to quit. I don’t feel healthy at all, my heart kinda aches sometimes (literally) and I’m also afraid of this Coronavirus pandemic being smokers are of high risk too. A lot people tell me to quit cold turkey but I am finding it very hard as I am surrounded by people who smoke. I know I can do this I just need time and motivation.

You need the knowledge and understanding of nicotine and you. How fast can you read? Here is the link for Allen Carr's EASY WAY. Learn and benefit from a new view point. Yes, the virus will most affect those with respiratory problems and weak immune systems. Fresh air and vitamin C and antioxidants will all help. Stop killing these by smoking. You breathe better in just a couple of days. Who knows if it could be the difference?
The e-book is free. Nothing to lose and everything to gain. Once quit I believe that this forum will help to sustain the quit. Get in the right mindset. Think Positive!

Hi Sara....you 33yrs old and smoke 2 packs a day you say? How can y o u afford that? Don't know where you from but in Sydney Australia a pack is $40 for 20.
I suggest to you that at your age you better off enjoying your money on items you may really wish to have. All that expenditure and just wrecking your health is "stupid ".
I speak from experience. I too thought i was bullet proof when i was your age but believe me it WILL catch up with you. I smoked for 53yrs and been quit 4yrs. If i can do it so can you. Stick to your guns and give smoking away. Hard at first but you make it up with rewarding achievements. Cheers

Thank you all, it is day 2 of my journey to quit and I think I’m doing ok. Im not sure why maybe it’s my will to quit but I haven’t really felt the urge to smoke yet. I have started reading the book today and I hope it helps me like it did many others. Thank you all again for the encouragement.
