I used weed killer one day and i guess i didn't wash my hands well enough, because when i lit a cigarette, I could taste it on the filter. I spat it out in disgust, hoping i wouldn't be ill after the fact. lol..... i have poisoned myself for years with smoking,......

Once quit smoking i intentionally swished a mouthful of cigarette smoke (without inhaling) to remind me how terrible tasting it really is. That is why we choked and gagged with out first experience. Our bodies tried to protect us, but we paid no heed and so it relented and made it bearable by making it tolerable to us. We now have to retrain our mind and bodies.

The point of the story is that that swish of smoke tasted very much like that weed killer. I wonder why?

According to a question asked to the Irish Cancer Society , there are 69 chemicals in a cigarette which can cause cancer. Over 7000 are in a smoked cigarette. For those who can't grasp the mindset, try to wrap your mind around that fact.

There are approximately 600 ingredients in cigarettes. When burned, cigarettes create more than 7,000 chemicals. At least 69 of these chemicals are known to cause cancer, and many are toxic.Feb 20, 20

I didn't trust myself to experiment with swishing it around in my mouth Happiness, it would have meant me going to the Supermarket here and buying a packet to try. Its certainly an eye opener to know that 69 chemicals are known to cause cancer and/or toxicity. Yet we are so blindly taking it into our bodies, thanks for the reminder. I hope the Retail outlets Commercial Ventures and the Government bodies who take taxes are feeling guilty for letting them be so readily available and being sold still.

I do not advise anyone newly quit to experiment with this , as nicotine is absorbed through the cheek. I am just relaying how it tastes. Those still contemplating quitting might do this to see what i mean. I quess it becomes an acquired taste, but it certainly doesn't always taste good, even being a smoker. Once we can admit that we were duped by nicotine and their manufacturers, we can open our eyes to reality and fight back. Anyone can quit smoking if they truly want to, and I have never heard any regrets from happy non-smokers.
