Numbness and fast heart beat from smoking!

Hello all,
I am 30 years old female and been smoking for almost 9 years. Lately, once i smoke a cigarette i get numbness in my left hand and fast heart beats sometimes. Numbness in hand would last all day or ends within 1-2 hours. I get chest pain as well and feel like my heart is contracted in a way. Can anyone help me regarding these symptoms?
I have tried to quit smoking several times and failed!
Thanks in advance,
Joey

Goodday Joey, the first thing you need to do is go and get a checkup,Any chestpain should not be ignored, smoker or not and the hand numbness is a circulation issue maybe caused by a blood flow blockage somewhere.Of course stop smoking but deal with this issue first please. I am qualified to give you this advice Joey, pleaese take it and please let us know how you got on.All the best

Hello colloquial,
Oh am afraid now it might be something serious? But in what way is it related to smoking? Since it’s happening everytime i have a cigarette! I have an appointment with the cardio tomorrow! Although i had several previous EKG’s and all came back normal!

It may be the endorphine rush you experience when the nicotine hits your bloodstream.it elevates your heart rate for a moment and then subsides as it works through.I am mot saying its serious or smoking related but its happening when you light up.Get your blood pressure checked also,Give up the smokes no matter what.See what an echocardiograph results give It will give your cardiologist a reading of how structurally stable your heart is.You could even ask for a "halter" to wear for a day.It is a little monitor attached to some ecg leads that monitor how your your heart behaves under a normal days activities. One ECG is not a true indication of heart functionality but is indicative of the moment you have itYou are fine Joey, just give up the smokes,If nothing changes then nothing changes.Good luck
