Magical

Just over 2 and a half years quit and have been reading some stories here. I remembered the first weeks quit with all the pain and angst. My wife had recently had a triple heart bypass and was in recovery at aged 65 and I knew that the cigarettes must go. I had been smoking for 53 years and was overwhelmed with self disgust over the nicotine habit. This site was a life saver and I stayed close and kept posting. It takes time and a robust resolve but eventually the cravings get less and less until they leave. It is all worth the pain in all sorts of ways some unexpected. My chest is clear now. My wife made a full recovery and this morning we took a 2 mile walk with our dog and hardly noticed any fatigue. Thanks again icanquit and all fellow quit buddies who helped. Tip to newbies. The results of quitting are pure magic.
I'm 2 months into nicotine free life and it helps to read stories like these. Thank you for sharing this. I wish the best to you and your wife.
