Why I decided to quit after 26yrs of smoking?
One day I suddenly don't feel like myself I just had a feeling something is wrong with my health and that I needed to quit asap.i used to love smoking because i feel that whenever I smoke I feel less stress and depressed,coming from a drama family I feel that smoking helps me get away from that horrible site..it is one of the hardest hardest reason for me to quit at the time or anytime before that because each time I tried there would be something or someone in the family said or did something very stressing.(and I know I shouldn't let that be an excuse for me to continue smoking)but it was so so hard being in that kind of environment to not have the one thing that helps me lower my stress...anyways long story short before u all fall asleep on me haha..as I mentioned earlier I started to feel something off about me and I was right because that day around like 9pm i started to have palpitations out of nowhere I started to check my pulse and it was 129bpm..for the next few days I had a couple of more palpitations so I made an appointment to see my pc and had my heart checked and also testing such as x-rays and ct scan also 24hr of overnight heart monitor and heart ultrasound which all came back good except for my chest ct scan which showed I have a 1mm lung nodule :/ on the report it says no acute disease and saying if in high risk category then rescan in 1yr so my doc wants me to have it rescan in 1yr but I requested her to send me to a lung specialist which she did send me to see a pulmonologist and on the day that I saw my pulmonologist he said that my lung nodule does not look cancerous at all..but why do I still feel uneasy about this?Is it because I'm worried or is it because something is truly wrong? My pulmonologist assured me that he is 100% certain that my nodule is not cancerous and that I should trust him..the thing is my pulmonologist didn't rescan me he just take a look at the digital scan and report that I brought in from my previous scan which was on May 10th 2017..i don't know if should have this nodule check again or should I just take my specialist words for it let me know what you all think and thank you for reading <3.>
