Painful viral chest infection

I have smoked for over 30 years, I was diagnosed with COPD 3 years ago but still smoked. In the recent 2 years I coughed often, then 4 months ago I got a severe viral chest infection. I was given 3 courses of antibiotics and STILL SMOKED, In pain and badly needing my nicotine fix. On Feb 22/2017 my brain said ENOUGH.
I will quit and I did and it has been hard, I'm not coughing, I'm not in pain, but the withdrawal is still a struggle. so I say hello fellow quitters I know what you are going through.

Hi Dml, good on you for finally saying goodbye to the dreaded nicotine. It says something about how powerful a drug it is, that we can be so ill and STILL need it. All the best on your journey, it is a struggle sometimes, but it's oh so rewarding to be finished with it for good :)

Hey Dml,
Well done on making the decision to quit!
It's good to hear you are already experiencing
the benefits.
