The savings can change your life!

I recently decided (along with quitting) to reduce my full time working hours from 5 days a week to 4. At 63 yrs of age, I'm tired of sitting in an office, but I need to work to survive. I figured if I quit the cigarettes, the money I save makes up for that 5th day and I get to have more than a fleeting weekend to do the things I'd like to do. So, even though I'm on a low income, without wasting money on cigarettes, I'm no worse off financially and way better off in so many other ways :)

Hi Judes, yes the money you save is astonishing. In my 7mths quit @$30 per day for 200 days say....well it would be enough to go for a nice little holiday. I am talking of thousands of dollars. But, the best part of this is that our health benefits. Keep going all the best. Cheers.

schedule 2 Feb 2017

Every Monday I still put $120.00@ week away in a safe place, I think in the 16 months of me not smoking, there has been 2 price increases.

I do a bit of everything jenno, pencil, acrylics.....I'd really like to take some classes as I'm not confident with my work even though people say it's great. With my extra free day each week perhaps I can do that now.

Good on you on your art work.....i think we all are our worst critic...hobbies are a great way to put your mind in another areas...busy fingers n mind help alot.
