It's not too late

Started smoking at age 8, and am now 60. I have COPD and can't do a few things anymore, and woud like retain some level of independence. Worked out a couple of weeks back that my smoking cost worked out to around $4000.00 a year, my nana told me once that i moteswell throw my money in the fire,it would be healthier than sucking on smokes, should have listened to her. Anyway now is my chance to fix that mistake, so its now or never.

Hey Swinney. Your only a youngster. I quit at 67 and currently over 14 months nicotine free. If you want it you can have it. Stick close here and keep posting. Don't regret the past. Being nicotine free is the real buzz. I am in the uk and its morning presently and I rarely think of cigarettes and usually only to post on here. Keep posting and go for it.

I have just woke up and have already had 3 of the things, and now for my puffers. I have bad COPD and find it hard to do a lot of things, and my job is getting harder to do and I don't want to lose it. I have also been in a cardio pulmonary exercise program for the last few months, and a COPD site for a while now but am still fighting a uphill battle. I know I can go for a while without smoking, because I can do a 10hr shift and not have one but the minute there is nothing to do i reach for a smoke.
Thank you for listening.
