2 cardiac arrests in the ed on the 8th dec 2015, 3 arrests in the ambulance enroute to the cath lab, 1 bare metal stent inserted into the right coronary arterie which was 99% blocked and I've lived to tell my story. a pack a day smoker for 40 years, social drinker, slightly over weight, stressed, non diabetic, slightly unfit, high blood pressure, after realising just how lucky I am I swore to my wife and myself that I will never smoke again! going cold turkey I have replaced the hand to mouth habit of smoking with clean plain water, I have thrown the remaining packet of cigarettes in the bin when I got home never even thinking twice, I will never forgive her for what she has assisted to happen to me! all the psychological feelings and emotions that I am experiencing now, will not deter me from my goal to live a longer healthier life for my family. cigarettes I divorce you!
