Reasons to Quit

Hey guys, for all of us going through the quitting journey it seems each person develops a unique strategy and set of tricks to help get through the process. Whether you have a quitting catch phrase, avoid certain places, pop bubble wrap or scream into a pillow to help you get through the cravings, it seems the most powerful tool is realising and remaining focused on your reasons to quit. So because of that, I thought some of us might like to share their number one reason for taking the plunge and becoming quit.
Good luck all :)

My number 1 reason would be Monetary as its an expensive habit, but coming close at number 2 would be for my health.

Monetary. My main reason for quitting was that I realised every 9 or 10 days I would be adding another $196 to my credit card. For some time I had thought how I would think twice about spending that amount on shoes or clothes. But burning it was of no consequence. I got sick of that & eventually woke up... Now the cigarettes cost $208... I cannot actually spend this amount on any one item. So bills for the phone, water, & power now cost the $'s I was burning in the astray. Best ever pay rise... Hope you get lots of responses to your survey, ninjatubes.

Health was definitely my main reason to quit..Just knew it was time to give up and get fit and so glad I have! Money is the next biggest reason. Cheers!

Health, and love, respect for myself my main reason to quit.... It was time to better myself, and live a healthy life. Be free from tobacco enslavement, and stinks!! Best wishes!

After years of smoking and being totally addicted I have been diagnosed with emphysema Not good. Tried many times to quit but this time I have to and want to
