schedule 1 Dec 2015

Hi Digital Diva (aka DD):

It sounds like you are struggling. That is good! It is good because you are fighting back against the chemical that has control of you. You are taking control of your life back from a sneaky foe who demands that you surrender your will to him. You CAN win DD. I know that you can! I thought that I would never beat my 53 year addiction to nicotine but I did. What is more, I did it cold turkey! The thing to remember is this DD, the urge to smoke will go away whether you light-up or not.

That all sounds very familiar to me😊 Keep going even slips have an important part to play in giving up,for me I learnt what my triggers were (emotional more than physical)I felt exhausted from trying to give up,finally gave in and gave up,but each day holds its,own highs and lows, just ride the wave and remember to breathe x

schedule 7 Dec 2015

Guilt of starting and stopping, anxiety , craving. You have a lot of emotions going on. Go into quitting at with plan A and plan B. Plan A is you quit and fight the craving with determination and focus. Plan B, is you slip, but give yourself credit for the time so far, and start again. Every one of us here , has probably tried stopping before, I know I have. You are still a winner, even when you slip, because you tried. And you can try again.

I know the feeling !! Such a vicious cycle - It's great your are aware - i guess we all are on some level. Good luck learn as much as you can !! I'm spending about 2 hrs a day atm reinforcing the facts and reason why i want to smoke. I figure the quicker I realise I never want to smoke again the easier it will be.
