Hi everyone, Well I'm sorry to report that I have slipped up after 26 days of being smoke free. :( I just came in from outside after having a smoke. I absolutely don't want to take this disgusting habit up again, but for the last 3 days I have had some extra strong urges and unfortunately I finally gave in. Tomorrow's a new day. I want to rid this crap from my life.

Dust yourself off and keep at it. You can do this.

schedule 2 Feb 2015

Don't worry too much, everybody slips up. 1 cigarette in 26 days is better than 20, 30 or 50 a day. Just keep at it and the urges will slowly get weaker. I'm at day 1019 and have had 2 or 3 slip ups in that time. A slip up is not a failure.

schedule 2 Feb 2015

One smoke in 26 days! You're still a legend. If you were a 25 cig per day person, that is 649 smokes less than you would of had in your system. One smoke is just like a bad afternoon stuck in traffic. Think of it like You are a non smoker who fell for a wee temptation.

You're going great guns. :)

Hey Choose, you and I started on this journey together about the same time. I slipped up as well about 13 days ago. all it did was reinforce that I really do not want to smoke anymore. I feel even stronger today in my resolve to give it up than i did when you and I started the first week of January. You can do it, you are doing it and I'm proud of you for sharing this, so that everyone knows that we are in this together and we are not perfect.

Hye Choose, I have been smoke free for 27 days. one day longer than you. So obviously we started one day apart. I know the feeling , while I haven't slipped I have had some pretty bad urges come and go. What I did to avoid those temptations was to force myself to focus on something else till the urge passed. And as hard as it was to not think about it once it passed I felt a lot better. A slip up is not a failure like the other's have said. Just get back up and if another urge comes after you. Try as hard as you possibly can to find something else to do for that period of time. Even if it is to go run or jog, do sit ups or pushups or something just long enough for that pesky urge to leave you alone. I believe in you... you can win that fight.

Thank you so much for all your support guys. It really means a lot!! I have had a few smokes since I posted this, but am not back to smoking full time (yet! - and DON'T want to) I went all week without a smoke and then yesterday after I got home form work I had 3! I have had some upsets and I think that is what has caused this mini relapse. I'm getting back on the horse though. Wish me luck!! xx
