schedule 2 Dec 2014

Hi everyone.

Im 20 years old and smoke atleast 10 smokes a day.

I have a beautifu little 2 year old girl who i dont want too think smoking is a normal day to day activity and that it is okay to do.

I am trying to conceive again and i am finding it relly hard to give up this time round. I gave up with my little girl just not sure i have the willpower to do it again.

Im struggling.. I get alot of support off of my partner but also live with 2 other smokers which makes things VERY difficult.

I am worried my moods are going to go through the roof epecially now that i am trying for another baby!

If any one has any tips and tricks too get my mind off of the niccotine crave let me know!

Looking forward too hearing from someone, anyone!!

PS. I am very new to this so please no negative comments!!

Hi krytjane,

Good on you for taking the first step, this is a long hard journey.... I know ex smokers that have been quit for 5-10 yeas and still get that urge to smoke so I dont think it ever leaves us you just have to be strong...

You got this though the first step is always the hardest, have you thought about taking NRT?

schedule 2 Jan 2015

HI there

I was wondering if you have thought of strategies that you can use around the house and when your family are smoking, keeping in mind that you will need to be subtle about it. I thought of a few ideas such as being busy when others are smoking such as going outside and watering the yard or banning ciggies in the house as you have a little one to think of. If there has been smoking in the house it may be helpful to start getting rig of the smell and have a massive spring clean of all the second hand smoke and stinks !!! I found it very therapeutic. and the house has a new Vibe

Keep trying and hanging on in there and take one day at a time xx
