Chains

Day 3! 30 yrs of smoking pretty much and I am sick to death of cigarettes running my life! I quit alcohol 6 years ago and am trying to use the same principles, DON'T PICK UP THE FIRST CIGARETTE and doing it ONE DAY AT A TIME.
Cigarettes had dominated and ran my life for years - had to make sure I had them and had enough of them, feeding my addiction whilst I was at work (was so inconvenient), smoking embarrassed me and made me feel less then, it plagued my mind day and night, I was a prisoner of my addiction and I have had enough!

Hi Chains. I myself quit alcohol, then I thought may be I can give up smoking too, and don't be a slave to any addiction. I am now 97 days smoke free and feel 100 times better for it :) good luck !!

Thanks for encouragement, doing it a bit tough this morning, it will pass I know.

The domination of my life by cigarettes is probably the "biggest" relief/benefit, along with the expense, for me as a smoke-free person of 365 days today, after 44 years. Remember what you HATE about smoking, each cigarette is like a little snake trying to take over your system again! You will succeed I am certain.

Day 11!! Thanks for the support. Amazing how good you can feel in such a short time. Doing pretty well, just got to keep my head in the right place! Loving the freedom!
