I decided to stop smoking

I am getting up into the late 40's, I am a diabetic insulin dependent...
I work with young people in crisis accommodation.
my director stated that in one month the service will be smoke free, as she was saying this I was thinking of how I was going to manage this, then I started thinking of why I was smoking....I could not think of one positive reason...the smokes were making me feel sick, headachy and tasted shocking...there is no reason why I should be smoking apart from habit....I decided that I will stop smoking on the 27 th August and for that month leading up I will get myself in that mind frame.
thinking that I would cut down at first I went for the extreme and just stopped....
i then noted that I wasn't craving the nicotine it was my mind saying "you should be having a smoke while you are doing this"...
i have had a family member go through hypnotherapy to quit so I looked into it read up on it and hypnotherapy readjusts your thinking habits, so I am also going to use hypnotherapy now I know that it is not the nicotine but my mind....
So today is 3 days smoke free I have my chewies and deadly nicotine spray and looking forward to making an appointment for hypnotherapy.
