Reasons to quit

I'm sick and tired of smoking. A friend was diagnosed with lung fibrosis, he never smoked and still can now not do anything without running out of breath. I have healthy lungs which I'm stuffing up with cigarettes. What a Waste!

You can quit. I am getting tired of smoking. I feel a lot better already. I haven't had any today. My worst time is in the morning. I delayed it, I had breakfast first, I put on a patch, I had coffee with my Husband in the smoking area without lighting up, I had a lozenge, I hung out loads of washing, I rang the Quitline, I fussed over my dog, I had a balanced lunch, I played solitaire, I ate my dinner, my Husband had another cigarette in front of me, so I am having another lozenge. Soon I am going to have my night-time cup of coffee. I might do some knitting too. I just can't smoke and knit at the same time. You can develop your willpower. I learnt that from this site. It works. Try developing your willpower with small things in other areas of your life, like keeping a diary. I have been avoiding buying and eating potato chips. I have got really good at saying no to them, which helps me so no to cigarettes. My world didn't cave in.

I am sorry about your friend Winni i hope the best for him.
You can do it, read everything that you find, it would be very helpful for you.
