I want to be there for my son!

After the birth of my son Trey on 5/4/2012 i found out i had an squamous intrepathelial lesion covering ny cervix. I was immediately booked in for surgery and they discovered that it was due to smoking.
Knowing i have risked my health smoking is scaring me to pieces!!
I want to be around for my son, to watch him grow he needs a healthy mum, not a mum that snokes and can barely breathe!

Like you I had a health scare (constant pains in my chest) so I went and consulted a cardiologist who conducted a heart CT scan. It was all clear by did it scare the C R A P out of me. I have two young daughters and do not want to leave them before my time. 7 months on and no smokes. NOT ONE. Do it for your kid. He/they deserve it...

Easy does it. Just handle one craving at a time as they occur. The panic may work for a while but you need to sustain your quit. Concentrate on valuable time spent with Trey eating healthy snacks. Play short games when you think of a smokes. I have bought soduko books to tide me over and pass the time. You are probably a really busy Mum. Think of one thing each day for yourself. Don't leave it, plan it for the week. That way you wont forget. Mark your treats in a diary. You will have extra time from not smoking. Pleasant times ahead surely. You will become strong.

I also had a scare heart attack it will be 3 years for me in November I was a pack a day smoker I know you can do it the first 3 days was the hardest I think the best thing is a distraction to keep your mind of it good luck. and citting back does not work you have to stop completely
