My husband quit, my turn now

Well I have smoked for many years, I turn 50 in October and I vowed I would NOT be smoking by the time I am 50. My husband quit a few years ago. Am I doing it for him no? Well he doesn't like me smoking that's for sure! But he doesn't give me a hard time, he knows I need to quit when I'm ready (bless him!). Lately I've been smoking rollies and actually I couldn't smoke a manufactured cigarette. I have tried a few times to quit. This time I have set my no-smoking date for 4/4/14...that will be my last day. My problem in the past is relying on nicabate lozenges to get me through so this time I want to go cold turkey. Any advice?

My advice going cold turkey is just take it one day at a time, the urges to smoke will come and I have just been accepting them as the addiction talking telling myself I know I can have a ciggy but I'm not because the longer I go without nicotine the easier it will get.
