Having a baby

Hi I just wanted to see if anyone out there is trying to give up because they are trying to get pregnant or is pregnant?! What did you do to stay calm and not stress but give up!!
I recently miscarried and had given up cold turkey for 5 weeks when I found out we lost baby. I started smoking the very next day as it was such an emotional time! We are now trying again but I haven't been able to quit just yet have cut down a lot but hubby wants me to try and stop for good before I fall again!! I would obviously hope I have stopped too but every time I think I having that last and final smoke I panic and get anxious I can't do it or live without having a smoke!! Advice?!

You have more chance of conceiving if you are happy, relaxed with your partner and having some fun. You should be very gentle with yourself and please- whatever you decide, keep your sense of humour. I work with people. The ones that weather life's tragedies and storms are always the ones who maintain their sense of humour. Be kind to yourself. If that means not having a smoke you will be able to do it. Live your life gracefully. Penelope Jane.

Hi Nicole!!
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss..
I recently quit, 14 days ago.. So many times I have planned to officially quit.. It never worked.. On the 20/2 I smoked my last cigarette in the pack, and said to myself I'm not going to buy another packet.. I haven't!!!. My husband and I can't have children naturally.. Very soon I am starting another round of IVF treatment. The first time I continued to smoke throughout and it resulted in a bfn. This time I'm quitting for good. All I can say to you, is you will quit when you are ready! Don't let people nag u to because that was my problem, it made me smoke more. I quit because my body had had enough.. I keep busy cleaning the house and have now indulged in things for me, to make myself feel better. I paint my nails now and manicure them, instead of my awful nicotine stained nails I had before..
I found exercise a great distraction as well..
Good luck and stay positive!!
