Hi I am a former smoker and I was smoking 100 cigarettes per day. When I was 36 years old my doctor told me that if I continued to smoke I would not reach the age of 40 and that frightened me! So I went to the chemist and bought a pack of 4mg nicorette gum and I rang the quitline daily for the next 2 weeks.the first few weeks were hard but I perservered and over the next few months It got easier I am now 50 years old and my life is awesome .I jog each morning ,do weight training I have agreat social life My message to people trying to quit is simply keep at it persevere ,it gets easier with time. And help and support is available for anyone wih a sincere desire ,

         Thank you.

Well done Stewart. Also a runner and am loving it. Gave up 6 months ago and I find running gives me more motivation than I've ever had in my life. Nothing like getting up at 5am, listening to some tunes on the mobile and hitting the pavement. 😃
