Two days ago I decided"you know what I'm not going to buy another pack of cigarettes"... This time I'm not going to make the big announcement of quitting either..like I have done previously...

in a few months time my husband and I wish to embark on our ivf treatment. I know to make this work successfully the smoking definatly needs to stop!! I'm doing this for my husband , future family and of course myself!!

Well done Kellyo, what a great reason for quitting. I am sure you will find though that the best reward will initially be the feeling of accomplishment, I am sitting on day 6 and have never felt so proud of myself. My reason to quit was also about kids, but about 30 of them as I will shortly finish a bachelor of education and over the last 3 or so years I have tried many times to quit because, well a teacher just can't smoke. So with the help of champix I'm actually doing it and it feels awesome. Some days I forget for one second, then the feeling of pride takes over and I think "I dont smoke" and it's bloody awesome. Keep going, there are many people here to support you and I wish you all the best with your IVF, Your dedication now proves you will be a great Mum. Mel.

What ever you do, do it relaxed and to have fun, just for who you are. You are extremely special to consider more family. Congratulations. You will get all the support necessary I'm sure. Don't ever fell alone. There are supports in place for all situations. Use them to the best of your advantage. What you have decided is wonderful. It

shows a giving, sharing, nurturing capacity of yours. And it shows the responsibility it will take for your path.
