Hi my name is jayne and I would like to share my story with you all.I am 44 years old and was told by the doctor in may 2012 that I had emphysema after a chest X-ray and that if I don't stop smoking I would end up on an oxygen bottle and wouldn't make it to 50.when I was first told this I stopped smoking completely for six months and to me that six months was a living nightmare. Then one day temptation took its toll and i lit up a cigarette thinking that one wouldnt hurt and then that one led to two then two to three now im currently smoking up to 10 a day again?ive tried patches, hypnotherapy, gum, tablets and will power but so far nothing is working.Ive tried champax years ago but i had to come off them as they were making me sick, however i found they did work and thats the reason i finally went to my doctor yesterday, once again and asked to be put back on them as this is my last resort.so today this is my first day on champax and along with my spiriva enhaler I already have to take everyday to clear my lungs out I am going to try once again to give up for good and save my life and hopefully anybody reading this stories life aswel, wish me luck and I wish you all the best of luck, dont stop trying to stop.

Good luck Jayne. My story is similar I guess. 13years ago I gave up cold turkey and have never looked back.goodbye I thought you can't harm me now...

Imagine my surprise this morning when my doctor tells me I have emphysema and puts me on the spiriva enhaler for life?

It is rated at number 5 on cause of death in Australia and he tells me to stop smoking....

Seriously if I had know back in 1979 what I know now I would have kept the 92cents and bought something else at the shop.

52 is too young to have this hanging over your head.

Good luck to you Jayne and to all that are trying to quit.

It is worth the fight ... Before you are too weak to fight it.

I was diagnosed of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) in 2012 at the age of 63. I had been a heavy smoker, my symptoms started out with dry cough and shortness of breath, i ended up in the hospital, on a ventilator. I should have known it was coming, but like most smokers, thought it would never happen to me. My COPD got significantly worse and unbearable because of my difficulty catching breath. Last year, i started on a natural COPD Herbal therapy from Rich Herbal Gardens, i read a lot of positive reviews from patients who used the treatment and i immediately started on it. I had great relief with this herbal treatment. I breath very much better now, no case of shortness of breath or chest tightness since treatment. Visit Rich Herbal Gardens website ww w. richherbalgardens. com. This COPD treatment is a miracle, I feel better and breath better!!
