Hi nanna 13, what a terrifying experience to go through, but you are gaining something positive from it, insight and determination. I think all smokers use a lot of denial, until we realise that our health can and will be affected by the addiction. Be strong and keep posting, it really does help.

Hi Nanna13, you got a big fright, you must have been terrified I know I would. My mum went into casualty last week with difficulty breathing, she got a fright and is now off the smokes three weeks. Thank god. Life is too short. I wish you every success. Well done.

hi Nanna13
Sorry about your scare but that and the grand-daughter incentive should help you with your quit journey
Quitting may be tough but it should be do-able. I am on day 53 without a cigarette, after smoking from age 14 to age 54, so only a little less than you.
There are tablets and patches and other quit aids, use whatever you need and/or works for you, and keep coming here for support, this quit community really helped me
Good luck on your journey, it will be well worthwhile
