Hello all. I am new to this site, mainly because I only quit yesterday, but already like what I see. It makes you realise just how many people go through exactly what you do, and make it.

I have been a moderate to social smoker for about 20 years. Turning 40 in 6 months time I thought it would be great if I can arrive at that milestone without feeling like rubbish. I really want to do it this time.

My 3 beautiful daughters need me to stop and I am.

Good luck to you all in your quitting journeys. I look forward to reading your stories and using your inspiration to keep me going when the craving hit.

The cravings do come - just ride the storm and remind yourself why you're doing this. Tell yourself that you're stronger than the cravings and you won't let them win - helps motivate me when I start to feel myself wanting to smoke. Changing my routine helped too - avoiding some of the situations when I did smoke. Good luck - this is the beginning of the rest of your life!

The choice is made so no looking back now. We are here for you if you need our support. Think of your daughters each time your cravings start and eventually they will go away. I am 159 days now of not smoking and I would say in just the last 2 weeks I have not ahd any cravings.
