Trying to quit for the fourth time

Hello,
I have started smoking when I was 26 years old (I know, late!) because I was spending my worst summer of my life. I was in a very small Greek island with a couple of girls and all they did was to kick me out from the room so they could get changed, put their creams and all. So I had to spend hours and hours wandering in the island where there was nothing worth to do. Because my friends were smokers, I decided to grab a cigarette to try it for the first time and that was it. I was hooked.
Since then, I have been trying to quit EVERY SINGLE DAY. In the beginning I didn't care much, but my determination to quit grew up over time.
The first time I managed to quit was when I was with my boyfriend who was very judgemental and athletic. I stayed quit for 7 months. My mistake was not having quit for myself but for him. Of course, when our relationship ended I went back to smoking.
My second time I quit was when I moved into a shared house and it was impossible to smoke there. So I quit for my 'sanity'. I stayed quit for two years - it was awesome!
Then I moved again to another house where my housemate is a smoker. I did manage to not smoke for six months or so, but she was leaving tobacco, rolling papers and filters around in the house. That helped my cravings and one day I 'stole' a bit of tobacco and smoked!
The third time I quit, it was a gift for myself for my birthday this year and stayed quit for 6 months. My housemate stopped leaving tobacco around and she started to keep the tobacco in her room. This summer, I left for the US and when I was back, the tobacco was around the houe again and my cravings came back stronger than ever. "I don't need to smoke" I kept telling myself. I guess I was tired, jetlagged and weak so I started to smoke again. After two days I threw the tobacco in my housemate's room, but it was too late.
Now it's my fourth attempt to quit and I want to quit as soon as possible because the longer I wait, the more difficult it will be to quit. And also because I am starting to feel the effects of smoking on my body such as soreness and shortness of my breath.
So I set my quit date in two days from now on (Monday the 12th November 2012)... and it WILL be my last attempt to quit as I WILL be non smoker for the rest of my life.
Ciao!

Well done on quittin so many times before! Atleast you know you can do it- cos you've done it before. Good Luck with your quittin.

Thanks. I actually slipped my quit date to 22nd November :) I am now 11 days smoke free
