Paying Too Much For Fags!
Hi, I'm living on the dsp pension and finding it harder to get by financially week to week. But at the same time I've been spending 70 dollars a week on fags. I want that money to spend on my family. I want to spoil them a bit. A friend told me I should put the money I would normally spend on smokes into a jar and save up for a family treat or outing. I'm starting that today! 10 bucks for me. Nothing for the tobacco mob!
Keep your family in mind all of the time Barry. They are the ones that will always be there for you and you should be there for them also. Being there for them means that you have to stop smoking. Having money to treat them to nicer things is even more beautiful.
I congratulate you on your first day of not smoking. It's hard at first but gets easier as time goes on. That $70 a week adds up very quickly and you will have $700 before you know it !!!

Hi BarryG56, I to am living on the DSP and my wife on the Carers Pension so we have not got a lot of money to splash around and with both of us smoking theres even less, I am fortunate that both my wife and I have given up on the same day the 11th and so far we are going OK, I just have to remember to flex that Willpower Muscle which reinforces that I Can Quit mentality...Good management of your quit I extend to you, May the force be with you...
