Deciding to Quit

I have been smoking socially since I was 18. Two years ago I left my husband and have since been smoking a packet of 20's a day.
I was once quite healthy and still try to eat as naturally and healthy as possible. I even try to use natural products and quite often make my own skin care and cleaning products with the help of aromatherapy. Quite often people will laugh and state that it surprises them that I'm soo health conscious with my food and lifestyle products yet I smoke, how is that?
Since the separation I have been constantly been getting sick which could be attributed to stress and also smoking. I've recently had a flu and have developed a bad cough, plus been told to stay home for a week off work.
My life is still somewhat stressful with work, however I want to be fit and healthy in all ways now and I truly believe smoking may assist with this.
In a couple of months I turn 30 and I want to quit by this date and try and repair all the damage in time.
So here goes the start of my journey....

You go girl. You swat those "wants" away like pesky flies. They go as fast as they come anyhow. I am 3 days clean now, after nearly 40 years sucking that poison. I won't be going back and neither should you.

Good for you Tasmarose! You can do it! Get your head in the right zone and take one day at a time. I've been a non-smoker for 43 days, my smokers cough has gone and I feel great!
