SPENDING TIME WITH KIDS

Im only on day two officially, yesterday, last night my daughter and my son spent the evening completing the puzzles in the That's Life Magazine and it was amazing to be inside with then instead of being out side and sitting alone. I know what its like to stop and start and my needs are to choose to stop, stop stop stop. I would like to take my kids on a holiday to Queensland and travel the fun parks that's my goal. >Looking forward to October to make this happen. I should be able to save all the money for that trip. We need think of goals and make those goal happen. I have given up many times for short periods of time so I know what is like to slip up, but then yes we need to get back on track. I think the main thing is we all know it's a bad dirty habit that does nothing for you but make you broke at the end of the day and then you stiink. New days for me and I'm determined to make every day a non smoke day from now on. I love reading all your stories.

Excellent work Rae!
day two, is soo much better than day one :)
Day two is 48 hours of willpower and determination, Your rockin.
You are well on your way to this beautiful new smoke free life.
So stay strong, stay focused and be strong xoxoxo
Think of yourself as a non-smoker. Remember it's not you craving it's the nicotine monsters in your head. Laugh at them and chalk up a victory every time. Be positive and pro-active. You'll nail it! Good luck and best wishes x (day 52)

Good on you Rae, you are so right having goals, it then becomes not just a mental thing and seeing that goal that you have happen. Hey won't it be nice when your in sunny QLD walking around and the little voice inside your head says *yeah! I made this happen, I did it and it feels great!*
Goals are definitely the map that lead us to success!! Its great that you have such a strong one to keep you hanging in when the going gets though..
I found the first week felt like a lifetime, but after that the weeks just started to fly by without me noticing..
Great work on getting through the first 2 days!! We all know how hard it is.. Stay strong, true to yourself and your goals and you will kick smoking butt!! xxx

Good on you Rae!! It is certainly a blessing to now realise what we have been missing out on whilst we were 'just having a quick ciggie outside' - look out Queensland you are on the way!! :)

Hi Rae! You're doing well - good goals, good reasons to quit. It's funny, I never truly realised how much smoking took me away from my kids. Hiding around corners, having a smoke instead of having a chat. little time wasters. You'll have that holiday in the bag before you know it too!

GO RAE!! 2 days is awesome..3 days even better and so on..keep going and you'll be in queensland before you know it. I love the extra time with my kids in the mornings now..and being able to leave the house without having to check if you have cigs, lighter etc etc. And having lunch at work without having to think about time to run outside and hide out the back for a cig, then rushing to get the gum and perfume to cover the stink..so much wasted time and effort. Stay strong and remember we're all cheering you on.

Hey there to me fellow non-smoking friends, tonight friday 24th Feb, I went out to farewell a freind from work on her retirement and she is packed and on her way caravaning to where ever life takes her, an not once did I feel like I wanted to have a cigarette. I was so proud of myself, and my kids even said to me mum I havn't seen you have a smoke for day's, cause I didn't say anyting to them that I wasn't smoking. On record now it's 5 days. I feel great I was able to take the kids out tonight as well and buy dinner out. $60 buck for the night that would have been 3 packet of cigarettes. Yuk Yuk Yuk. I think going out was more worth it and more fun. I will say yes its been tough but I am determined to make this work. Thankyou all for you support and best wishes. Love hearing from you all. I feel I have more support from all you guys then I have in the past from the people standing next to me. Love to you all
