Why I quit

I quit too late.  I had a stroke at 46.  It was scary and yet it still took me 10 months to quit.  I still don't really want to, though I'm up to a month and a half now.  I didn't enjoy every cigarette I had, but about half of them were nice.  I miss those.  But I also miss not having a stutter so I quit.

Good luck Suzy, you have a greater chance of a better recovery by quitting, not much consolation right now I know, please keep us posted on how you're going.

Beter late than never. maybe it will prevent you having another stroke. I am just going on a month and yes i miss them. But i don't miss the struggle to breathe or using ventolin everytime i wanted a smoke. You have to look at the positive things that outweigh what smoking does to you. keep us posted and use this site as a vent if you need to. Good luck
