Smoker's Cough

I have finally made the decision (for the nth time) to quit smoking and it is day 3 and I'm feeling the best about it in all the attempts I have made.
For me, the main reason to quit was my smoker's cough. I'm an asthmatic, and stupidly took up smoking despite always giving my father grief about smoking. I had quit for a year in the past, but fell back into it while overseas and ending a relationship with a partner. It was something that was there for me when i was lonely and afraid.
My smoker's cough persistently woke me up in the night. And this was no ordinary smokers cough. I would wake up hawking up my lungs, continually wheezy. I would wake my current partner when I stayed over at his house and I would also wake up his house mate. Friends would remark about it when we were out and I'd start coughing. But mainly I was sick of waking up barely able to breathe in the morning and having to rely on Ventolin (which is not good for me at all).
But the goods news is I'm going to make it this time. When i reach 14 days I'm going to go back to my GP and get back on my asthma medication and work out how we can control my asthma. I'm going to the gym every day and have organised personal training sessions.
I will make it this time!

Excellent! Best of luck to you. I am feeling great for quitting, you will too soon. It does get easier, you do get stronger.
