High blood pressure

I went to the doctor and found out I have the blood pressure of a 60 year old (I'm 27). Smoking, and the breathlessness that goes with it that makes exercise hard, is a large part of my high blood pressure. I need to quit if I'm going to make it to an age that will match my blood pressure... Now for the hard part.

Good Luck, I have the same problem..the blood pressure is abit high. I have cut down to about 10 cigis a day and fully quiting after nye.

I wish you well Crassy. I've now quit for 3 years strong, my health has improved drastically. Is this the first time you have considered quitting? You have taken the first step toward a healthier life... how are you going? Gordana, great idea to cut down first. Good luck. My greatest tip for quitting is: Consider yourself a non-smoker. Its a major transition, and a VERY rewarding one I must admit. All the best
