Had some stressful health issues diagnosed yesterday. Forgot to put a patch on. Stayed up late the night before which made me extra tired. Had an argument with my wife and I craved a cig. Had one. Trying to not have another one. Deep breathing helps. Reminding myself of the reasons why I don't want to stop helps. Not being mean to myself for having one helps. It's ok. Today is a blue sky day.

Sounds like you've had a lot to deal with the other day, so it's understandable the craving showed up. Though what stands out is how you handled it. You stopped after the cigarette instead of letting it spiral, using deep breathing and choosing not to be hard on yourself.
One cigarette doesn't erease your progress. Slips can happen and the important thing is what you did, noticing it and getting back on track.
If you feel like talking things through, you're welcome to call the Quitline (13 78 48). Keep taking it one step at a time
