I am 44 and started smoking at the age of 22. I was not a regular smoker until 29 years old. I was smoking less than 5 till the age of 35. Last 10 years it was around 10 sticks per day in average. I did not really like its smell or its taste after smoking until the urge for next cigarette. I failed several attempts to quit. Today reached day 72, still I am afraid every moment, I may slip. Carefully avoiding the places, routines which may trigger. On the streets when someone blows the smoke, it is tempting. First week was tough mentally, Week 3 -5 was tough physically with body pain, continuous phlegm with blood. There was no good sleep last 71 nights. Whenever I get tempted, I remember this painful withdrawal journey and diverting my mind from this evil. Hoping to make next successful days.

Congrats to a great start to freedom. If you can do 69 days then you can do more because each day gets easier and is SOOOO worth it. Making smoking un- enjoyable and realizes the negativity it brings to our lives can only but help to ensure our success. We are missing nothing and gaining everything!

Keep up the great work!

Thank you Happiness.I was waiting to write here, but want to do after making the real progress. I had 2 packs of cigarettes in my cellar as reserve. I thrown it today in garbage bin and wrote my experience today.
