Not one puff ever

Not letting your guard down . I lost a 3.5 year quit because I forgot the not one puff ever rule ! I thought because I had been an ex smoker for so long that I could have a few drinks with family members who smoked and that if I bummed one I would not become addicted again. I was wrong . It’s not one puff ever for life !!

It's true that the motto is NOPE. With smoking you need to be completely free of it, as nicotine is a powerful drug that causes addiction. It can't be toyed with, as you will lose.

I hope that the error in judgement was a blip in your 3.5 year quit. Please tell us that you course has been reset with more conviction than ever.
Most people recover from their slips and come back to us, find their groove and continue. I hope you will too.

Grainy, I did the same thing. I was 10yrs clean & thought 1 would be a bit of fun and ok… it’s been 5 years of smoking now & I still remember that night. I’m on day 2 & really want my life back. It was so much easier without smoking & more enjoyable. This community really helped me last time & I’m hoping it will again.
