Part 4 Quit - Part 2 - Proud of myself - 4 weeks smoke free

...I've been very tired & I was going to bed earlier and sleeping longer hours. I really dont know why i'm sleeping as much but does it take a body a while to adjust to this new way of living without cigarettes? I'm certainly breathing a lot easier & the pain that was in my right lung when I had the chest infection prior to giving up smoking has completely gone. A big plus in my book to stay quit right! I had had with all good intention to go home the other day & get right back into my chores but truth be told.. that simply did not happen (I'm an honest wee being). Now today I'm making a list (as I'm good with lists) and Im gonna start this evening and scold myself if i get overwhelmed. Take one room at a time. Hopefully by Sunday night I will have made a dent in the things that I need to do and will be smiling at myself in the mirror soon. Again Mr Nico can do one! Oh and if i may say so myself, I'm proud of myself as I've reached my 4 week milestone of remaining smoke free.

That is so awesome! Keep up the good work and don't sweat the small stuff as they say.
When things piled up because of procrastination and such, I also started to get stressed out and down on myself. I started making a list of what I wanted to accomplish that day. It felt so good to delete it and see a little change every day. Much like smoking, there are little things that are a deilghtful change. A better sense of smell, of taste and a noticeable improvement in breathing and circulation. A sense of pride of our accomplishments and I love the freedom of CHOICE!
