schedule 10 Jun 2024

The day I quit was the day I had to go to hospital due to uncontrollable coughing for 2 weeks. I was diagnosed with bronchitis.

Bronchitis is caused by a normal cold and cough not going away for more than 2 weeks due to smoking. The build up of mucus in my lungs from my smoking turned my avaerage cold cough into something worse. This was my wake up call. I am currently almost 22 days from my last cigarette. And I have not regretted it one bit. If I had not quit I would be needing constant rehabilitation for my lungs.

I’m so sorry you were sick but so so glad you’ve quit smoking and are focused on a forever quit . Your lungs will thank you . Smoking affects the immune system . We often only relate smoking to cancer or COPD never thinking of the effects on our immune system do we , but we need that immune system to fight all infection and disease . Congrats on your quit and putting you first and not the cigarette . Much continued success and good health to you N.g.page .
