Hi everyone . I’m new here but not to quitting smoking . I tried to quit many times prior to this quit . I generally quit quitting however around the three day mark . I quit generally for others . I quit this time for my health . I quit this time with the promise that no matter what I would not pick up a cigarette again ( ever) This is a cold turkey quit and have 13 years quit . What I got from smoking was moderate copd . What I got from quitting is that it’s never gotten worse . I am not on oxygen and hope to keep it that way . I never think about picking up the old ball chain , but I do think about passing on things I learned in hopes of helping someone else see that they too can quit . I believe there are no exceptions , everyone can quit .

I never thought I’d see another year of life , my kids or my grandkids . Grand kids are graduating in a few years . I’m going to be there .

Do not quit quitting ever , you are the miracle you’ve always been waiting for .

Hi Hippiegreg . Happy to meet you and happy to hear you are giving up smoking . Best thing you can do for your health . How long are you quit now ? Anything we can do to help just reach out . I found support was so helpful in getting me through some of the early days . People understood what I was going through and there wasn’t much I could swing by them where someone hadn’t been through that too and could not only relate but assure me it would pass , if I just keep quit .

Keep in touch we would love to know how it’s going . Good days and bad we are here for you . One day at a time . BeLieve
