This is my second attempt giving up smoking, first time was 7 years ago & I managed to quit for 8 months until menopause hit! on the 12th of June it will be 4 months without a ciggie. both times I gave up cold turkey For the first three months I was depressed & moody, thankfully that has passed!! now I have cravings pop up at least 3 times a day. Going for a walk does help. Can't wait until Im finally free from the "Hold" cigarettes has on me!

I am so glad to see your optimism! The 12th of June is still three weeks away but that in no way diminishes your 3 month milestone. A great accomplishment and I am glad to hear that you are over the moodiness and depression. Feel good about your achievement and believe that is indeed possible to break the hold smoking has on you. You are doing it!

Walking is a great crave buster and healthy as well . Glad you found something you not only enjoy but is keeping your quit . Walking is so much better than smoking . Breathing in that fresh summer time air , smelling the flowers , hearing the birds , feeling the ocean breeze on your face as opposed to smoke and cough is no comparison . It not uncommon to be around that three month mark and feel cravings a bit more than norm ok , so yes , hang in there , this too shall pass and as long as you don’t feed it smoke it will give up . Keep doing what you are doing .It’s working .Keep us updated .
