10 days in and struggling

Posted in Quit experiences
schedule 14 May 2024

Last year, I successfully quit smoking for six months after three decades of smoking. Unfortunately, I experienced a relapse in the middle of last month. However, I've taken action by restarting Zyban and quitting again on May 4th! It's been ten days now, and I must admit, it's much tougher this time around. I've come to the realization that I have to be absolutely committed to saying "NOPE" to cigarettes. I'm experiencing some challenges like feeling light-headed, low on energy, and coughing more than ever. Despite these difficulties, I'm determined to persevere. I'm ready to fight through this and emerge victorious!

Whooo hoo 10 days quit is awesome . Next goal 14 ? The thing I learned from a tough quit was to really hang on to it cause I never wanted to go back to day one . You work hard for it you remember its value .Not a bad thing honestly .If you can do ten days you can do today . Believe and do . Hang in there cause you really are doing great . Do some wall push ups , go for walk , get out there play ball , watch a comedy , take up a new hobby . Have a visible or mental plan of action so you don’t go buy beg or borrow trouble …lol, cigarettes / trouble , sticking with this / freedom .

You are off to a great start! The NOPE mantra has seen many members through this period of transition. Things DO get better and cravings do NOT last forever or even years. Keep reading stories, keep positive and remember that this is your DESIRE.
