Started smoking again in 2017

I had not smoked for more than eleven years. Nervous tension led me back.
I have been ready to stop for a while now, I had my last cigarette on Saturday night.
This is technically my fourth day without a cigarette.
I'm a tad irritable but I'm glad I'm not smoking.

Just saw my latest post 👏 is there a way to reply to someone’s post? Sorry I’m not great with techno stuff!

So now I have found the “write a comment” section…… but can’t see anything underneath YOUR stories yet. Just started my patches today, maybe not allowed to reply to anyone on this site?

Good afternoon shaun77 you have made the right choice to quit again read as much as yoi can as this site is very helpful with all the experiences from everyones journeys it really does help to keep the mind focused

Hi Shaun. Half the battle is won when you already accept your wonderful decision and embrace it. Stay positive Stay happy with your CHOICE.
We are stronger than we think and make things happen when we choose to.

Good on you Shaun. I'm on almost the same boat here. Been smoke-free for 5 years before coming back for 5 years. Been doing well for 7 days before having an argument with my wife (well yea just an excuse, isn't it?) then now I have to start the journey again. The way I look at it is, the 7 days of not smoking is the 7 days of wellness done to my body, so I try not to see it as a failure. I might not be alone, but everytime life goes bad, the first thing I think of is have a ciggy, no matter how long I've quit for...

Hi Shaun77. How are you going now? My story is similar to yours so I’m genuinely interested to hear how you are. I’m day 14 today .
