Health demands quitting

In December 2024I was in hospital ER for "bronchitis" had a persistent cough since September and started to experience flu like symptoms day after Christmas. While at hospital they did a chest x ray that showed no pneumonia. and also fo a ekg to insure I wasn't having a heart attack. And I was not. When I followed up with my pcp he informed me what those test did show was u had a compressed spine fracture I was unaware of and the ekg showed I had left ventricular hypertrophy. All disorders caused from smoking. Time to quit. Feb. 29th was my quit date and I have been snoke free for 8 days.

Welcome to our little community where we understand you, can motivate you and give you helpful advice. The best thing to do is to read all our wonderful stories and the comments given to learn about this terrible addiction. Nicotine can be beaten and we are proof of that.
We all had to make the deciision to stop letting smoking rule us. We did not really like smoking, we just didn't like the cravings if we did not. It is an endless cycle until we stop making excuses and want to take back control. It is definitely time to take a stance. You can do this. FUcigs!
